About the Run
Imagine a world of darkness or silence, in which your precious gift of sight or sound was stolen from you. For millions of Americans, this is a somber reality.
DID YOU KNOW?
- Every 7 minutes, someone in the U.S. will become blind or visually-impaired?
- About 175,000 people in NC are blind or visually impaired?
- About 28 million Americans have hearing loss; only 1 out of 5 use a hearing aid?
What YOU can do to help!
Join us for the 2008 Walk/Run for the Vision & Hearing! After registering, we will give you what you need to raise money for projects that will help support those less fortunate in our community.
Every gift of $100 can help give:
- Free eyeglasses, or
- Free hearing aid, or
- Free eye or ear exam
Many thanks to our generous sponsors!
